Using your Custom Objects

One more step towards making your workspace personal with the addition of a Custom Object!

Everyone is different and everyone's workspace deserves to reflect that!

Maybe you've grown accustomed to working out of specific Custom Objects in your Salesforce instance? Objects that are crucial to the way you work, or perhaps custom objects that are accessed to measure performance? Whatever the case may be, we are able to bring those Custom Objects into your Scratchpad Pipeline so you can quickly customize views and update information inline and in real-time!


In Pipeline

  1. Click the "+" tab, located near the other object tabs across the top of your pipeline

  2. Select the custom object(s) that you'd like to add to your pipeline

  3. Configure your first grid view in your custom object!

Through Command

  1. Use your keyboard shortcut (Control+J/Command+J) to bring up your Scratchpad Command menu.

  2. In your list of actions, you will now see + Create "custom object"

  3. Click on it and you will be prompted to fill out necessary fields to create!

    1. Click the βš™οΈ gear icon in the top right corner to bring in additional fields if needed!

  4. Once you fill out the fields, just hit the blue CREATE button! πŸ’₯

From Related Lists

  1. Open up the expanded view of any record to access a related list on your tile(s)

  2. If you hover on the related list, you will see a βž• sign appear - go ahead and click this!

  3. You will be prompted to fill out necessary fields to create!

    1. Click the βš™οΈ gear icon in the top right corner to bring in additional fields if needed!

  4. Once you fill out the fields, just hit the blue CREATE button! πŸ’₯

Through Contextual Creation

  1. From the expanded view, click the ALL tile

  2. Scroll down to the ACTIONS section

  3. You will now see + Create "custom object" as an option - go ahead and click this!

  4. You will be prompted to fill out necessary fields to create!

    1. Click the βš™οΈ gear icon in the top right corner to bring in additional fields if needed!

  5. Once you fill out the fields, just hit the blue CREATE button! πŸ’₯
