Making Shared and SFDC Views Your Own
Making Shared and SFDC Views Your Own

Take a view that has been shared with you and make it you own!

Updated over a week ago

Don't do double work!

When opening up the menu in Pipeline, you will find two sections:

๐Ÿ‘‰ SHARED WITH ME - Views that were shared by colleagues or your organization.

๐Ÿ‘‰ SALESFORCE - List views already built out in your SFDC

๐Ÿ”ฅ Not only can you view and make updates to records from these views, but you can also make these views your own and customize them to match the way YOU want to work!

SHARED WITH ME

  1. Select the menu icon in Pipeline, next to the view's name.

  2. Click on Shared With Me to see the different shared views available for you to inherit.

  3. Decide which view you would like to make your own - click on them to preview them if you're exploring!

  4. Once you find the desired view you'd like to make your own, click on the three dots [...] at the right of the view's name.

  5. Select Duplicate view.

  6. If you'd like to rename it, adjust it as desired!

๐ŸŽ‰ This view is now yours and visible in your MY VIEWS section!

โ“ Why can't I see Deal Spotlights on a view that was shared with me?

โ†’ ๐Ÿšจ Deal spotlighting is available on paid Scratchpad licenses - learn more here! If you are on the free plan, you will be unable to see the Deal Spotlights on a view that was shared with you.

SALESFORCE

  1. Select the menu icon in Pipeline, next to the view's name.

  2. Click on SALESFORCE to see the different list views available to you.

๐ŸšจPlease note, these are SFDC lists that have been created in Salesforce, not Reports

  3. Decide which view you would like to make your own - click on them to preview them if you're exploring!

  4. Once you find the desired view you'd like to make your own, click on the three dots [...] at the right of the view's name.

  5. Select Duplicate view.

๐ŸšจIf you receive an error message that view cannot be duplicated, it is because that list contains complex filtering that Scratchpad cannot currently support. You can still make any edits you wish on this view!

๐ŸŽ‰ This view is now yours and visible in your MY VIEWS section! If you'd like to rename it, click on the three dots [...] at the right of the view's name.
