How to Find and Inspect High-Priority Opportunities
How to Find and Inspect High-Priority Opportunities

Focus and inspect the high value deals to spot risk before it's too late.

Updated over a week ago

High-priority deals can make or break your quarter. However, tracking and inspecting those deals can be challenging. It is difficult to find deals at risk in Salesforce, see weekly changes, understand why changes are happening, and track deal movement.

Scratchpad’s deal spotlighting instantly shows which deals need your focus and immediate action.

  1. Open your Opportunity Pipeline Grid or Kanban View 2.

  2. Click 'Highlighting' at the top of your View

  3. Select + Add Highlight and select + Add Custom Highlight

  4. Define a rule:

    • From the first drop-down select the field you want to define the rule for. For this example, select "close date"

    • From the second drop-down select the logic for your rule. Select "is before"

    • From the third drop-down enter or select the value for your rule. For this example, we will select "last week"

  5. Cells are now highlighted in red based on the rule you defined. You can add multiple highlights to any view

  6. Add another highlight and define another rule by clicking + Add custom highlight

    • From the first drop-down select the field you want to define the rule for.

    • Select "amount"

    • From the second drop-down select the logic for your rule. For this example, we will select "is greater than"

    • From the third drop-down enter or select the value for your rule.

  7. For this example, we will select "200000"

  8. Cells are now highlighted in purple based on the rule you defined. You can add multiple spotlights to any view

PRO TIP! You can also hide a deal spotlight by selecting the eye icon or remove by clicking the trash icon
