Sharing Scratchpad Views

Learn the different ways you can share Scratchpad Pipeline Views - Direct Share, Link, Organization, and Public

Access Types


Full access

Can edit data, share, and configure view. Admins have full access to shared views by default

Read & write

Can edit data, but not share or configure view

Direct Share


  1. Navigate to Views

  2. Click Share in the top-right of your desired view

  3. Search for names of Scratchpad Members, Roles, or Salesforce users

    • Non-Scratchpad users will receive an invitation to join

  4. Choose their Access Type

  5. Once shared, the view will be visible to these members or roles under Shared with me within the Pipeline sidebar

Sharing the Link to a View


  1. Navigate to Views

  2. Click Share in the top-right of your desired view

  3. Click Copy Link

  4. Users will be prompted with a message to Save to view list upon clicking the link

  5. This view will now be visible under My Views within the Pipeline sidebar

Sharing a View with Everyone at your Organization


  1. Navigate to Views

  2. Click Share in the top-right of your desired view

  3. Use the drop-down to select Organization

  4. Choose their Access Type

  5. This view will now be visible to all Scratchpad users under Shared with me within the Pipeline sidebar

Sharing a View Publicly


Easily collaborate with anyone, including users external to your SFDC instance! Public views display live data and can be exported, but are read-only and password protected to ensure data security. Public views will also be shared Organizationally.

  1. Navigate to Views

  2. Click Share in the top-right of your desired view

  3. Use the drop-down to select Public

  4. Copy the Password for External Users, and the link to the view

  5. This view will now be visible to anyone with the link and password

    • Users that are already signed into Scratchpad will not need the password

  6. To revoke access, simply generate a new password or disable the public view
