FAQ

What permissions are required when initially adding the integration?

Please view required permissions here

  • View current user meetings: Used for listing meeting information.

  • View a user's local recording meeting token information: Used to access the local recording of the meeting.

  • View user’s ZAK token: Used for starting meetings as a host without requiring the user to be logged in. This is required by default.

Which settings need to be enabled to use Zoom's native recorder?

Cloud recording must be enabled.

Your Zoom Admin can set cloud recordings and transcripts to be deleted after a specified number of days to save storage. Scratchpad downloads the recordings, so they can still be accessed via the Calls app if they are deleted from the cloud.

Why are my Zoom calls not recording?

Having trouble with calls being recorded? Here are some common situations that prevent Scratchpad from recording

  1. The host of the meeting was not present, or you were not the host

  2. The host's local recording setting is disabled

  3. The host has disabled permitting participants to record locally

  4. The host has disabled requesting recording permission within the current call

  5. Host is using the web client instead of the Zoom desktop app
