Learn more about Scratchpad's Zoom Integration

Updated this week

Integration Overview

The Zoom Integration provides flexibility in how you record and analyze your calls, whether you use Scratchpad's Call Recorder or other call recording tools (like Gong, Chorus, etc.).

Using Scratchpad's Call Recorder

Once the Zoom Integration is added, we will hide the popup asking to record for all Zoom meetings that the Scratchpad Notetaker joins. Instead, participants will see that the meeting is being recorded within the Zoom interface.

Using Zoom's Native Recorder

Once the Zoom Integration is added (leveraging Zoom's native recording functionality while using other call recording tools), Scratchpad will capture the external call and recommend AI suggestions based on the recording.

FAQ

What permissions are required when initially adding the integration?

Please view required permissions here

  • View current user meetings: Used for listing meeting information.

  • View a user's local recording meeting token information: Used to access the local recording of the meeting.

  • View user’s ZAK token: Used for starting meetings as a host without requiring the user to be logged in. This is required by default.

Which settings need to be enabled to use Zoom's native recorder?

Cloud recording must be enabled.

Your Zoom Admin can set cloud recordings and transcripts to be deleted after a specified number of days to save storage. Scratchpad downloads the recordings, so they can still be accessed via the Calls app if they are deleted from the cloud.
