Gong integration

The Gong integration allows you to seamlessly bring Gong recorded calls into Scratchpad. Once connected, Scratchpad will begin syncing all future calls for current Scratchpad users – with the option to import past calls.

Please note, you must be a Scratchpad Admin and Gong Technical Admin to add and approve this integration.

  1. Navigate to Settings in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage

  2. Select General on the left menu bar and Connect Gong

→ Learn more about the Gong Integration and importing past calls here.

Zoom integration

Using Zoom’s native recorder, Scratchpad will capture external calls and recommend AI suggestions based on the recordings.

Please note, cloud recording must be enabled to use Zoom's native recorder.

  1. Navigate to Settings, then Calls

  2. Click Connect next to Zoom

  3. Connect your Google or Outlook Calendar

  4. Sign in with Zoom to link it as your meeting platform

→ Learn more about the Zoom Integration here.

Scratchpad Notetaker (desktop app or bot)

Desktop Scratchpad Notetaker

Scratchpad’s Desktop Recorder is a lightweight Mac app that captures and transcribes audio from your meetings - no admin setup, no bot, and no external integration required.

Please note, to prevent duplicate recordings, ensure you're not using another Scratchpad integration (notetaker bot, Zoom, or Gong) at the same time.

  1. Download the Scratchpad desktop app

  2. When prompted, move the app into your Applications folder

  3. Open the app and login with your Salesforce credentials

  4. Connect your Calendar

  5. When prompted, enable:

    • microphone

    • system audio

    • voice isolation

  6. Once complete, you'll see your next scheduled meeting and existing AI fields

→ Learn more about the desktop app here.

Scratchpad Notetaker Bot

Scratchpad's Notetaker Bot can capture internal or external calls and automatically joins meetings as a participant on your Google or Outlook Calendar.

  1. Navigate to Settings, then Calls

  2. Click Connect next to Scratchpad Notetaker

  3. Connect your Google or Outlook Calendar

  4. External meetings will be enabled by default, toggle on Internal meetings if desired

→ Learn more about the notetaker bot here.

FAQ

Can I change the name of the Scratchpad Notetaker Bot?

Yes! You can reach out to [email protected] if you'd like to change the name of your organization's Scratchpad Notetaker Bot. Please note, this is an org-wide setting.

What if I use Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams for my calls?

In this scenario, you will want to enable the Zoom integration for Zoom calls and turn on the Scratchpad Notetaker to capture meetings on Google Meet, Teams, or any other platform. Or, you can use the Scratchpad Notetaker for all calls.

Can I import calls from another tool?

As of today, we only support importing calls with our Gong integration.

My call is stuck processing, what do I do?

If you're using Zoom or Gong, call processing can take a bit longer as we rely on them to process. With Scratchpad's Notetaker, it usually wraps up within 15 minutes. If it’s been over 3 hours and your call still hasn’t processed, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]!

Can I manually invite the Scratchpad Notetaker Bot to my call?

Yes! Please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Calls within your Scratchpad Navigation Bar

  2. Select Invite to call in the top right
