Google Integration Overview

Set up and use the Google Integration to access Gmail and Calendar data directly in Scratchpad

Updated this week

Integration Overview

Scratchpad’s Google Integration connects your Gmail and Calendar to bring emails and meetings into your workspace.

You can search Gmail using Command (CMD+J), view email threads directly within Salesforce records, and automatically trigger call recordings from calendar events.

This ensures key context from emails and meetings is always accessible where you work.

Adding Google

  1. Navigate to Settings in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage

  2. Select Integrations on the left menu bar and add Google

  3. Within the Google access flow, ensure all permission checkboxes are selected to enable email and calendar syncing

FAQ

What permissions are required when initially adding the integration?

The Google integration will allow Scratchpad to view events on all your calendars, your email messages, and settings.

Be sure to select all permissions shown below. This ensures Scratchpad can sync your email and calendar data as expected.

What triggers the “Next Meeting Scheduled” calendar icon to populate next to an opportunity?

  1. Google Integration is enabled in Scratchpad

  2. There is an external participant on the Google Calendar event that is a contact in SFDC

  3. That participant is related to an account with an active opportunity or related to an opportunity contact role

If there are multiple open Opportunities in an Account, we’ll only display the icon for the first Opportunity listed.
