Change/Confirm Your Role
Roles in Scratchpad offer teams the ability to create tailored experiences for the varied job functions of its users. If you would like to change or confirm your Scratchpad workspace role, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Go to Settings by clicking on the gear icon located at the bottom left-hand corner of the page. The General settings screen will appear.
Step 2: From General settings, navigate towards the bottom of the page to My Workspace Role. On the right-hand side, you will notice the current role selected.
Step 3: To change your role, click on your current role and select one of the listed options that best fits your current job function (i.e. Account Executive, Solutions/Sales Engineer).
Set the Default Opening Page
At first install, Scratchpad does takes over your home page when using the Chrome extension. If you choose to keep this default setting, a new image will appear each day upon opening up a new Google Chrome tab. If you prefer to jump right into pipeline (or tasks, or notes) upon clicking open a new chrome tab, you absolutely have that option:
Step 1: Go to the 'gear' icon at the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad home page
Step 2: In 'General', select 'Start Scratchpad On'
Step 3: Choose from 'home', 'notes', 'pipeline', 'tasks', or 'last visited'
**When you refresh or when you open up a new Chrome tab, your default opening page will be what you selected in settings π
Set Up Shortcuts
Add a shortcuts widget to your Scratchpad dashboard for easy access to your Google G-Suite or any of your other favorite sites.
Step 1: Click on the Setting Icon βοΈ in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
Step 2: On the GENERAL page select "Show Shortcuts" and toggle the switch to ON.
Step 3: You'll see a waffle icon has appeared in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (next to the Search Bar and Calendar Icon).
Step 4: Click on the waffle icon and you'll see shortcuts for Gmail, G-Calendar, and Google Drive, plus an "+ add shortcut" option.
Pro Tip: Add your own custom shortcuts for other sites you frequent (i.e. LinkedIn, Salesloft, etc) by clicking the β button; name your new shortcut, and then paste the URL into the designated field.
Manage Bookmarks Bar

(i) Enable Scratchpad Bookmark Bar
Navigate to 'Settings' in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage
In the 'General' section, toggle 'Show Bookmarks Bar' to an 'on' position
if you prefer NOT to have Scratchpad's bookmark bar enabled, simply keep it toggled to the 'off' position
(ii) Enable Google Chrome Bookmark Bar
Click the vertical three dots in the top-right corner of your Chrome browser
Select 'Bookmarks'
In 'Bookmarks', click 'Show Bookmarks Bar'
Change Background Photo
When you first sign into Scratchpad, auto background is enabled. This means that your background will change daily to a photo from our curated feed. To manually change your background photo, do the following:
Step 1: Navigate to the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage
Step 2: Select Photo from the list of options on the left
Step 3: Invite 3 people to unlock manual backgrounds
Step 4: Browse the collection of photos and select your new background
Pro-Tip: Selecting a different photo will disable auto background. If you would like to revert to an auto-rotating background, you can always toggle it back on.
