Learn how to manage, filter, and bulk update your Scratchpad notifications

Keep track of all your notifications and comments in the Scratchpad Inbox. You can view the record(s), make updates, and comment back all in one place!


Accessing Notifications and Comments

To access your notifications, navigate to your inbox at the upper right hand corner of your Scratchpad home

  1. Select the inbox icon in the upper righthand corner

  2. On the left, select any notification you would like to manage

  3. Expanded view appears in the center

  4. Utilize the Tiles at the top of the page to navigate to the information needing updating, if applicable.

  5. Easily reply back or @mention another teammate on the right hand side of the Notification Pane.

  6. When complete, simply click the check mark next to the notification to clear it from the list! 🚨 Once marked as complete, these will no longer live in Scratchpad. You will have to go into Chatter in SFDC to surface these.

🪄 Pro-Tips:

  • If Chatter emails are enabled in Salesforce, you’ll get an email notification from SFDC in real-time

  • Scratchpad sends out Commenting notification emails at 12am PT every night


Managing Notifications and Comments

With Inbox Bulk Actions, you can quickly and easily organize your Scratchpad Inbox by filtering notifications and marking them, in bulk, as read or complete.

  1. Select the inbox icon in the upper righthand corner

  2. On the left, select any notification you would like to manage

  3. Expanded view appears in the center.

  4. On the left pane, you will see [All ⌄ ···]

  5. If you click [All], you can choose to see just Comments or just Notifications

  6. If you click [···], you will be able to choose between marking all as read or marking all as complete. 🚨 Once marked as complete, these will no longer live in Scratchpad. You will have to go into Chatter in SFDC to surface these.
