Managing Tasks

Organize and manage your tasks seamlessly and never miss a due date again πŸ˜‰

Updated over 4 months ago

If you've ever found yourself wishing there was an easier way to keep track of the different tasks you (or your team) are responsible for, this article is for you. With a pipeline view of tasks in Scratchpad, you can zoom in on action items due today, this week, this month, on a particular account - you name it. With everything all in one place and the ability to assign priorities, update status and complete bulk actions, you will always be up to speed on what matters.

Manage Tasks in the Pipeline

Once your task object is enabled, you can view all of your tasks in a pipeline view, just like accounts, opportunities, and contacts. If your task object is not enabled, reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of the different task views you can create in pipeline:

Tasks due today

Tasks assigned to X rep

Tasks not started

Tasks due this week

Tasks on X account

Tasks that are past due

Tasks due this month

Tasks including X key word

Tasks marked high priority

Pro-Tip: Duplicate your default task grid, then rename the duplicated view based on the filters you customize within it.

Set priority levels for your tasks

Not all tasks are created equal. That's why inside Scratchpad, you can set priority levels for the varied tasks you assign. High, low, and normal are just some of the options available to you when prioritizing your action items, allowing them to stand out easily.

Use priority levels to make certain tasks stand out on your list. Then you can sort tasks by priority level to identify the most important tasks each day.

You'll also notice that your task at-a-glance list shows HIGH priority tasks with red circles next to them - perfect for immediately grabbing your attention.

Update progress on tasks

You can indicate the progress you're making on a particular task via the 'status' field. Complete, in progress, open, etc are some of the options available. This can be especially helpful if you're collaborating with others on assigned tasks and want to know how much progress has been made.
