Learn about the different access Types, and how Admins can manage Member Type, Plan, and Role in Scratchpad

Access Types


Admin

Along with access to the workspace, admins can manage workspace settings, and their teammates’ access levels. Admins can:

  • Update members’ access type

  • Edit workspace settings

  • Edit Shared Views

  • Access Role Designer

  • Access Cards*

Member

Members can access the workspace but not edit workspace settings. Members will be able to:

  • Access the full workspace (Views, Notes, Tasks, Call Intelligence)

  • Access Automations they have created*

*Only available on certain paid plans

Manage Member Type


The first user from any organization will automatically be assigned as Admin.

  1. Navigate to the Gear Icon in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage

  2. Select Members under Workspace

  3. Find your Member of choice and select the desired Type

Manage Member Plan


  1. Navigate to the Gear Icon in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage

  2. Select Members under Workspace

  3. Search for the user you would like to upgrade

  4. Under the Plan column, flip the type to your existing paid plan

  5. To remove a user from your paid plan, simply flip the Plan type to Free

Manage Member Role


Designating Roles in Scratchpad will allow you to customize your organization's workspace for each role by sharing specific Views and Tiles with them. Learn more here!

  1. Navigate to the Gear Icon in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage

  2. Select Members under Workspace

  3. Find your Member of choice and select the desired Role

Create and Delete Roles


Admins have the ability to create and manage roles in Scratchpad.

  1. Navigate to the Gear Icon in the bottom-left corner of your Scratchpad homepage

  2. Select Members under Workspace

  3. Click on any user's role and select ⚙️ Manage Roles

  4. To edit or delete a role, hover over the role and click the pencil or trash can

  5. To create a role, go to the bottom of the list and click + Add Role
