In this article, you'll learn how to:

Create tasks from your week view

  1. Make sure Scratchpad Command is enabled.

  2. Navigate to Google Calendar. From your weekly Google Calendar view, click the circle with a check mark next to the date.

  3. Add your task details. No need to "save", it's already saved to SFDC once you click out!

Create notes from your invite

Creating a note prior to your meeting is as easy as one click with Scratchpad Command enabled. Follow the simple steps below to start leveraging this feature.

  1. Click once on any meeting with an external client

  2. Click "Create Note" (the one with the scratchpad icon next to it)

This will take you directly to the notes section in Scratchpad and include the header from your meeting. And just like that, you're ready to take notes! Watch the video below! ⬇️

View & create contacts from your invite

  1. Go to your Google Calendar

  2. Open up a calendar invite. Under "Guests," you will see the names/email addresses of those invited to the event.

  3. To the right of his/her name, you will either see a plus sign or an icon of a person.

    1. If you click on the person icon, you can access the expanded view of the contact, along with all tiles, notes, tasks, comments, etc.

    2. If you click on the plus '+' icon, you can quickly create a new contact in your SFDC instance. Note: the '+' sign is an also an indication that the invitee is not a contact in SFDC, but could be a lead.

🚨 If there are fields missing from your creation sidebar, you can add them by clicking on the gear icon in the top righthand corner and select "Fields and Related Lists." From there, you can search for the desired fields by scrolling or typing it in the search bar.

*While in this section, you can also reorder your fields by grabbing the six dots to the right of the field name and dragging it to its new desired location.
